BacktestFlow vs Traders Casa
Traders Casa and BacktestFlow both replay forex candle by candle on TradingView powered charts, with a free plan. Traders Casa goes wide: unlimited sessions, US stocks, 20+ years of history on Pro, broker sync and 300+ filterable analytics. BacktestFlow goes deep on forex: a record you cannot skip, execution measured as statistics and reports that only quote measured numbers.

Where BacktestFlow leads
“A session that leaves no record is an hour spent watching old candles.”
BacktestFlow takes the same idea one step further. The replay waits until each close is written up, so the record also holds why you took the trade.
Traders Casa keeps the trades of each session. BacktestFlow keeps the reasoning too: every close, on every plan, opens a write up with notes, tags, your checklist and screenshots, and the replay waits until it is saved. That record is how you later tell a strategy problem from a discipline problem.
Flow Coach runs 28 analyses across backtest and live journal. It keeps a finding only if it passes a significance check: a 90% Wilson interval and a minimum group of 8. The written report may only quote numbers the engine measured, so a pattern that fails its test is not reported at all.
On every plan, BacktestFlow measures how much planned risk to reward you captured, how often targets were hit and how consistent your sizing was. On paid plans your checklist becomes a discipline score. Traders Casa's analytics filter the outcomes of your trades; checklist adherence is not documented. See the full metric list.
Traders Casa's prop firm tool runs on its website, from a win rate and an average win, and its FAQ says the app has no prop firm simulator. On paid plans, BacktestFlow's challenge mode runs inside the replay. Every limit is checked on equity, open positions included, as the candles move, and the first pass or fail is locked.
Statistics read in pips as well as R, % and money. Multi hour candles sit on the same 17:00 New York grid as tradingview.com through every daylight saving change. Switching timeframe rebuilds the current candle only from bars already replayed, so no future price shows. Traders Casa filters results by session; it does not document statistics in pips. How manual backtesting works here.
Where Traders Casa leads
If testing volume without paying matters most, Traders Casa is the better fit. Every plan, Free included, has unlimited backtest sessions, on six months of history.
If broker sync matters, Traders Casa is the better fit. Its Pro plan imports closed trades from MetaTrader 5 across 140+ broker servers, and from cTrader.
If your strategy needs Fair Value Gaps, Killzones or Silver Bullet windows on the replay chart, Traders Casa is the better fit. Its in house suite covers them on paid plans.

FAQ
Traders Casa is backtesting software with a trade journal built in, on TradingView powered charts. You replay forex pairs and US stocks bar by bar and place simulated trades. Paid plans add up to 20+ years of history, 300+ filterable analytics, Casa AI, in house ICT and SMC indicators, and on Pro a live journal with broker sync.
It has a free plan with ads: unlimited backtest sessions on six months of history, a profit and loss graph and a consistency tracker. Rewind, go to date and quick place are limited on it. Basic and Pro add history and analytics, and Pro adds journaling. BacktestFlow has a free plan too; the table above shows what each includes.
Not in the app: its own FAQ says the prop firm simulator is a free tool on its website. It runs 5,000 simulated attempts from your win rate and average win, with static or trailing max loss. On paid plans, BacktestFlow's challenge mode replays history under a profit target and daily and max drawdown limits, measured on equity.
Yes, on every plan: limited on Free and unlimited on Basic and Pro, along with go to date. On the Max plan, BacktestFlow's rewind moves the replay back 1 to 50 candles, with a red line previewing the cut. It is blocked while a position is open.
Traders Casa goes wide: US stocks, 20+ years of history on Pro, 300+ filterable analytics and broker sync. BacktestFlow goes deep on forex. Every close is written up before the replay moves on, on every plan, and statistics read in pips. Flow Coach reports may only quote numbers its 28 analyses measured, and execution is measured as statistics.
Besides BacktestFlow, five tools come up. FX Replay is a browser platform across futures, forex, stocks, indices and crypto. Forex Tester Online offers manual and algorithmic backtesting. BacktestingMax replays 1 minute data with an AI that can test a strategy for you. TradingView Bar Replay suits practicing chart reading. TradeZella is a journal with manual and automated backtesting. Each is summarized in a line on this page.
